Feeling Great!

I feel amazing.. still in a pain inside the incision.. but definitely healing great! I was able to withstand sitting a little longer today and made more layouts for my Mexico City Album! I Love how it's coming out... I wanted to share a couple of layouts with you today! I also wanted to thank you all for your continued prayers and well wishes! All of you are amazing!

This first layout I got the negative of a 12x12 letter cutouts I got. I decided to recycle it and I love the concept of using it like this.. I have a few more, so I know from now on I will not be throwing it away. Yay! For reusing!

Thank you for stopping by and thank you again for all the comments and uplifting stories! :o)

Happy Scrapping!

Mexico!!!

As I started the Mexico Album today, I realized how time flies!!! I can't believe that soon it will be a year that we went on our trip... and so much as happened since. But not only that.. a year ago.. we were saying our cruise was a year away and now look at us... less than a month away! I was able to make 3 wonderful quick pages. But definitely a great start. I pushed myself today to get SOMETHING done and I must admit I'm extremely tired. I have to take it easy. I got these done this morning. I woke up really early and was able to take advantage of some of the day. Thank for checking the blog out!

Also, I want to send out my thoughts and prayers to all the wonderful and brave people in Japan that had to experience such a horrible disaster. God help them and their families and my friends from there as well.

Have a wonderful weekend and happy scrapping!

Finally Finished!

I finally finished my Easter 2010 Album!! And guess what? Exactly a month from today we will be on our way to Southern California for our Cruise the following morning!! That leaves me with exactly a month to finish up the Mexico Album (which I'm almost 100% sure I will not finish in time), but that's ok. Many events have happened that I wasn't expecting and unfortunately, finishing the album isn't my priority... but definitely does help take my mind off things. Via my blog and facebook, I want to thank all of my wonderful family and friends once again for the amazing support and encouraging words I have received. For those of you that don't know, I had my right ovary removed during what was supposed to be a simple surgery to remove a cyst. My husband and I don't have any kids, so that alone was extremely emotional and scary. At first I had decided to only let my family and some of my close friends know about the following, but so many of you came to me with such uplifting stories that I want to share as well. After I got my right ovary taken out, it appeared through some tests that I have ovarion cancer. According to the dr. it was just set around the right ovary that they had taken out. He believes (and he has called to reassure me) that I should be cancer-free now. IMAGINE how devastating this news came to me and my loved ones. I don't wish anybody, ever, something so horrible like Cancer. EVER. Thankfully, to God and my dr. it seems that my left ovary and uterus have been saved by a miracle. Apparently, ovarion cancer is extremely aggressive to the reproductive system, and in most cases, it's not found until it's too late and a full "hystorectomy" (spelling?) needs to be done. God is amazing. And I'm so thankful to him and my doctor that it was found in time. I also want to thank my family and friends that have prayed and continue to pray for my well-being. If you have any uplifting stories for me please share... either here or through facebook through a private message. I would love to read them. You all have made my life so happy. Thank you!

But for now, here are the last and final pages of my Easter 2010 album.

Thanks for stopping by!

And as always, Happy Scrapping!

Scrapping the Pain away!

I've done 2 pages (standing up and about 6 mins of sitting down). I can't sit for very long in the scrapping chair.. so I'm not pushing myself. I won't be scrapping for a while until I feel better. This recovery is taking a little more time that I thought. According to my dr. I'll be off for about 6-8 weeks. But thankfully I am getting better slowly, but definitely better than worse. So here are some of the pages I have done. Pre and Post surgery and of course all from my Easter 2010 album. Thanks for checking the blog out!

Happy Scrapping!

Easter Continues...

I am determined to finish this Easter 2010 Album by the end of the month. I know that I'm going to have to slow down after my surgery, but it will also be an opportunity to get some "slow" scrapping in (since I won't be able to sit for long periods of time, but will be off work). I wanted to share these pages I made tonight. I was able to get the DCWV Mainstreet Stacker. I Love it!

Happy Scrapping! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!

Hurry up and Finish!

That's exactly what I'm trying to do. I need to get this Easter album finished so I can start on the Mexico City Vacation we took! I ordered half of the pictures already for the Mexico City trip and it's already at a count of 200!!! I know, CRAZY, huh? Both the Easter 2010 and the Mexico City Albums need to be finished by April 10th. That's when we will be leaving on our Mexican Riviera cruise! And of course I have to scrap that one AS SOON AS I COME BACK! That's how anal I am. Although, that's exactly what I said about the Mexico City one. But for now I'll leave you with this page. It's a page dedicated to my husband's brother who lives aout 6-7 hours away and we don't get to see him much anymore. And each time we do, we cherish it a lot. Love you Ben!

Thanks for stopping by! God Bless!

Happy Scrapping!

Hope to be back for good?

I keep saying that everytime I post a new blog. But the truth is, that I have no idea if I'll ever get back to my old self again in regards to scrapping. The will is there.... I think.. but the power definitely isn't. JUST KIDDING!!!! lol! For now, I'm just going to take it easy, but will always scrap.. even if I can only do 1 page a month.. one way or another I will continue my scrapping adventures. Scrapbooking relaxes me (as baking and cooking does) and I'm so happy that I have all of you to share all my projects with. So without further notice, here are my recent projects!

So I haven't completely given up scrapping! :o) Just mellowed down on it a little.

Thank for looking and Happy Scrapping!

Christmas Eve Eve!

Well here it is... Christmas is upon us and once again, with a wink of an eye it will pass as quickly as it came. We, as a family, hit hard times this year, but I am thankful to God that he made us strong and faithful to deal with all of it. I am thankful for the strong faith I have in our Lord, that no matter what, he will always be there to guide us. I am also thankful that my friends and family are close to me. So just as a little Christmas wish, I wish you all a safe and joyous Christmas and that you all are blessed this coming year and beyond! I love you all and thank you for all the joy you have all brought to me.

Merry Christmas and Happy Birthday Jesus

Yesterday was my mom's birthday. And we were able to enjoy some time with her. I made her an Alice in Wonderland themed cake. The colors pink, purple and the stripes represent the cat and the big green bow represent the Mad Hatters hat. I loved the outcome and I know she loved it as well. The inside was yellow cake with coconut cream filling! Man, it was delish!! Here's the cake:

My Holiday Work Lunch

So Today is my Holiday Work Lunch! Really excited to spend sometime "out of work" even though it's still going to be at work, with my co-workers. I was busy busy making 24 cupcakes yesterday for my co-workers and I loved loved how they came out.. I raised the icing up so it can look like a semi christmas tree and then I put sprinkles and a yellow little wanna-be star on top. Here they are... I think I'm getting better and better, don't you think? Oh and I also filled them with cherry! DELISH!

Happy Baking and Scrapping Everyone!

Busy Holiday Season

Goodness, it's been absolutely crazy this season. I mean it's to expect it... but not as hectic like this. I haven't even sent out the winner for Vintage Grove Jewlery. I'll send an extra little gift to the winner because of the huge delay. It's been over a month and I'm slowly coming back.. even though these next 2 weeks are going to be the most hectic. I have scrapped though, and I wish I could get the pictures on here on this post, but I guess I can do that later. I have also done a lot of baking and more will be on it's way tonight. Company parties for my husband and I and Christmas/Holiday dinners with family and friends have kept me quite busy… but we have had a very happy holiday season so far. Here are some of the baking goodies I have made:

2 tier Thanksgiving cakes

Holiday Cupcakes for My Hubby's Work

Delish Forest Cake for our good friends Rick and Gurdge.

Poker Chip Cake for our great friend Julio on his Birthday

I hope everyone is doing great this holiday season. I really miss all my SB.COM friends, but it's been so hectic that there is no way to keep up on there and with all the baking and scrapping I have to do before the end of the year. I hope to be back to a normal "less" busy schedule soon, but for now, please keep checking back!

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
