Last Minute Scrapping!

Hi Everyone:

I wanted to post about my last minute scrapping. I have been really busy packing, cleaning, running errands, etc. before we leave tomorrow on our cruise! Wooo Hooo! I can't believe that after a year of waiting and some hectic past months, our cruise vacation has arrived! Thank God! Whoop! Whoop! But before I leave I wanted to show you a coupld of cards I made yesterday and today. I'm trying to get my cards for the year out of the way (although, I should be working on my Mexico City album, Gruh!).

For now, I must scram! I have to go make the bed and leave the master clean! Yikes! AND LAUNDRY TOO! See ya! Happy Friday Everyone!

Wonderful Thursday and Party!

I haven't been sleeping much! It's been crazy! I don't know why? But after church this morning I was able to take a nap! I have so much to do still. Anyways, after I woke up of my nap, I came to check out the wonderful blogs of all you ladies. And let me just say that I'm so thankful for all the opportunities you all give to win some wonderful blog candy. I have won multiple blog candies and I'm so thankful for each and everyone of them! God is amazing for having you all put in my path. Well, today, once again I won! I won a set of Promarkers (it was a bonus prize). Well, as I hopped around I came across Brenda's Blog and she showed on her blog how to create the perfect stand for taking pictures of your cards (click on her link to view). Thanks again Brenda! It was wonderful! Well, here's what I created:

And here is a picture of a card that I made today for, Opps I can't say... I haven't sent it out! ;o)

When I took the picture of the card I turned to look out the window and had an amazing view of the clouds! It has been very nice and warm here lately, but today it's been cloudy with partial showers and then suddenly FULL SUN. Look at this picture I took of my view (I guess I can't complain).

Bedtime..

Hey all! Well today was a semi productive day! I was able to work on some cards. I didn't get to scrap much, but I was able to spend some time with family. I finally got the call that my surgery is scheduled for April 29th! Yikes! Actually, I'm excited... it's just one step closer to getting away from this horrible nightmare!

Changing the subject to better things.. I was able to enjoy some shopping time with my mom and like I mentioned before... some cards. I wanted to share with you my cards. I'm very proud of these... for some reason I feel more comfortable with cards lately. I mean not as I am with layouts.. but definitely getting there.

Can you notice that I'm getting way more comfortable with my sewing machine? hehe! Awesome! Alrighty, now it's truly bedtime. I only got about 4.5 hours of sleep last night... and tomorrow i have to wake up at 5:30am! Geez... I'm getting used to not working and waking up early... I'm going to have some trouble when that time comes around again. Wowzers! Have a wonderful good night sleep and sleep tight! Good Night!

Scrapspace Finished!

OMGosh! I have been working so hard to get this room finished that I finished WAYYYYYY faster than I thought! Of course Hubby helped as well (by cleaning his desk)! Here's the finished product (well, I still want to get some curtains and I have some cool stuff to add, but cleaning wise.. I LOVE IT):

So this is my scrapspace! I share it with my wonderful and supporting husband. He says that the only reason why he doesn't want me to have my own scraproom is because he'll never get to see me, therefore he has to have his computer in here. lol! He's so cute. At first we had agreed half the room his and half the room mine.. but slowly I have been taking over. He made me my desk (which is obviously a converted closet) and has helped me arrange how I want my scrapspace to be.

Reorganizing the Scrapspace

I have been working on getting my scrapspace/our office clean and organized before we leave on our cruise. I want to be able to come back from the cruise and Scrap Scrap Scrap before my next surgery. Not only did I do it or this reason but (I'm in disbelief that I will be posting the following pictures) I need to Clean it! It's just GROSS! Here are some before and after pictures. I'll keep you all updated as to how everything is coming along.

I'm still working on the rest of the room! I'm very excited to how it's coming out for me! I'm trying to hurry to see if I can scrap a little more before I leave. It's hard to resist taking a break from cleaning the room and not scrap! I wanted to share a card I made a while ago, but I hadn't shared because the person's twins I sent it to hasn't received it. So let's home she received it today and I don't ruin the surprise.

Blog Candy and Projects!

Hello all! I hope you are all doing well! I did a lot of fun stuff this weekend and seriously, I couldn't be happier! Life is great right now. My husband took my to Joann's and Michael's this weekend (once again yay! for amazing husband!) and I bought some amazing things! I got Michael's acrylic paints for $.29 each!!!! Then at Joann's I got 3 stackers, page refills, and thread for my sewing machine for only $15!!! Check out the stackers!

Then if that weren't enough, our Border's store is closing (unfortunately) and they are selling everything!!! Fixtures, books, magazines etc. for very very low prices. Well, my husband found a box full of Papayrus Envelopes (1000+) and all lined and shimmery or designed and gorgeous. The box said (handwritten) 10 for $2 (which is still a great deal), but we got the box and asked the employee.. "How much for the entire box?" and he said... "$5! Take it!" and we did! I sooooooo SCORED!!!

I also had a very productive weekend. I was able to finish the first album of 2 of our Mexico City trip! Here were two of the layouts I made! (The green one if you look closely the circle is sewn with tulips on my sewing machine!)

Happy Friday of Fools!

I can't believe it's April already! God is amazing to be giving us such beautiful days here lately. Yesterday was my appointment with the oncologist. She confirmed that all my tests came back fine and that my surgery will be the end of April! So Cruise HERE WE COME! Thank you God! My Parents, brothers, hubby, and I decided to spend some time over in San Francisco after the appointment and it was absolutely gorgeous gorgeous day (and knowing I'm going to be ok made it even more!). We went down Lombard St. (zig zag road) and to Pier 39! We then decided to have an amazing outside dinner at the pier! What a wonderful day!

Today, no complaints! Not only is the sun bright and shining... the house is at 82 degrees inside (with all the windows open)! It's a gorgeous day for capris, short sleeve and flip flops! So how can this weather NOT motivate me to do stuff? I opened all the windows and decided to scrap a card today. I was scared because I had never sewed on paper with my machine. Shoot! I had barely used it for the apron, let alone for something like this. And here's my project I came up with! Not bad.. at least I think! hehehe!

Sew Crafty? Me?

On HSN today they've been having "National Craft Month: Sewing with Singer" all day! And as I'm watching them talk about this "amazing sewing machine," I realized how lucky I am to have such an amazing and brand new singer sewing machine as well. I had asked and asked and wished and wished to get this sewing machine and once I got it and was excited to use it, I got afraid and feared using it. Well, today, as I was cleaning, I saw the amazing rements that I got from Joann's a couple of weeks ago and decided to give my sewing machine and I a chance! So, in about 2.5 hrs I made my self a really cute and "well done" apron! I love it!!!!! I'm so proud (and so is hubby since I know he was wondering why we spent so much on a singer machine if I never use it!)!

So, What do you think??? I love it! No? Apparently I'm Sew Crafty as well! ;o)

I also made a quick card today! I don't know.. I just felt like making a card.

Sick Yet Productive!

I woke up sick! Ugh! I was hoping I wouldn't get sick, but unfortunately I did. I have my touncils swollen, body ache and the cold. Grrr. Oh well, I guess it's better now instead of the Cruise Week! I was able to clean all downstairs and the bathrooms. I still have a lot to do, but I felt I did a lot today. I als scrapped a lot more than I thought I would. Yay! I'm a fighter! hehehe.

Here's some of the work I got to do:

I'm going to a Creative Memories party tonight. I'm excited. I get to get out of the house on my on today! YAY!!! Let's see how that goes. I'll show you what I buy, if I buy anything hehehe. Also, prayers are still going out for Amber and her Papaw. I hope things are better.
