Pay it Forward!

Hi All! How's everyone doing? Well, I'm excited for this little cute event that I'm being part of. I think this is a wonderful idea and I'm so glad that Celeste decided to play along so I can play along with her as well. Check it out.

Pay It Forward" is the idea of blessing someone with a random act of kindness without expecting anything in return. It’s passing on a kindness, hoping that your recipients will do the same, and forming a never-ending chain of goodwill. But it isn’t only kindness, it is also a means to connect and share instead of just keeping it to ourselves. Also, who doesn't like happy snail mail?

"I promise to send an original creation to the (1st) 5 people who leave a comment here. They must, in turn, post this on there blog, and send something they make to the 1st 5 people who comment on their status."

Here's what you need to do:

1. Leave a comment on this post. I will send a handmade gift to the first 5 commenters.
2. Create a post on your blog offering the same.
3. Send a handmade item to your first 5 commenters.
4. It must be sent to your 5 people sometime in 2011.

Please do not sign up unless you are fully committed to making your 5 items!

I think this is wonderful and I hope you join in this fun event! I plan to make some nice cards for you to share with other people and enjoy! God Bless!

P.S. If you are one for the first 5 please email me your address to scrap_gal@yahoo.com . Thanks!

Happy Scrapping!

Look What Came Knocking...

Yesterday I was pressed for time on the last post of the last Challenge for the Pink Stamper that I turned it in 1 min. before it closed. I didn't win anything... but I sure did have a blast! Thanks for Robyn at My Pink Stamper for such a fun National Scrapbook Day! I couldn't stop laughing when I saw the last post and how DUMB it looked! Ah! Well! What can you do!? lol! Anyways, so today has been another day of recovery, a little cleaning and I was even able to have my brother take me to make some errands. When I came home, look what was on my front doorstep:

Can you believe it!?!?! The thing is that the UPS Tracking said estimated date of arrival was the 16th. And it arrived 6 days earlier. Now, does that mean that I might get my Imagine tomorrow? I ordered it the following day after this one was ordered? Ahhh! I'm so nervous! I'm just so giddy right now! Thanks for stopping by! I can't wait to create cakes with my amazing machine! I'm in love with the stainless steel and the logo of Martha Stewart on it. I wouldn't of minded the red Cricut cake... but I was in love with this one since the first day I saw it! Ahhh! Ok.. rest Nati... REST! hehehe! Talk to you soon!

National Scrapbook Day: My Pink Stamper Challenge #7

I'm getting there! Slowly but surely! For challenge #7 we had to make a layout. I'm happy I'm finally getting back to layout pojects. I was getting obsessed over cards and that's "no bueno" especially when I want to finish all my albums before I go back to work. (I mean there isn't a defined date of when that will be, but I definitely do want to take advantage) I think I will be taking  break soon though. My incisions are starting to hurt :o(... Here's what I did:

Thanks for all your wonderful comments! I read each and everyoneof them. Thank you so very much!

Happy Scrapping!

National Scrapbook Day: My Pink Stamper Challenge #6

So Challenge # 6 was to add in a Tag onto your project. I have been so inspired with the blue teal and the pink together that I decided to make a pinholder that I have been wanting to do for a while. Here's what i came up with. The top is blu plaid and the bottome is hot pink. Then it has a tag that says, "Nati's Pinholder." What do you think?

Thanks for stopping by! I'm half way there! Yay! God Bless!

Happy Scrapping!

National Scrapbook Day: My Pink Stamper Challenge #5

This one was definitely fun to make! We had to do something 3D! Well, I had already done a 3D item with the ovarian and breast cancer ribbons, but I must admit I had a fun time playing with my chipboard and my paints! So I decided to make a cute little sign for my scrapspace! Here it is:

I love how it came out! It's too cute!

Happy Scrapping!

National Scrapbook Day: My Pink Stamper Challenge #4

Hey all! I'm still working on my challenges and here is #4! We needed to make something with the Mother's Day Theme and Here's what I created. In Mexico, Mother's Day is always on May 10th. We normally celebrate it as U.S. celebrates... But once in a while I also like to give my mom a mother's day card on May 10th.

Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Scrapping!

National Scrapbook Day: My Pink Stamper Challenge #3

This one took me a while. We had to do something with the Breast Cancer ribbon. I wanted to also be able to reaise the awareness of Ovarian Cancer though. Ovarian Cancer is a very deadly and aggresive cancer. I never really knew about it until I was diagnosed with it. Did you know Ovarian Cancer doesn't show in CT Scans or any other tests (including blood tests) until late stage 3 or early stage 4?!?!?! Scary Huh? And trust me. You can get to those stages in matter of weeks or a couple of months! So here's what I created for the challenge:

I love the way it came out!

Happy Scrapping!

National Scrapbook Day: My Pink Stamper Challenge #2:

Scrapping in Honor of NSD!

National Scrapbook Day is here!!!!!!!! Whoop! Whoop! For the past 3 years I have not been able to celebrate do to trips we take, but this time I will! One way or another. Today I was able to on and off scrap a little. I did 4 cards (one of which I made yesterday) I want to share them with you!

I hope that everyone has an extraordinary NSD and that it's full of scrappy goodness! God Bless everyone!

Happy Scrapping and National Scrapbook Day!

Recovering and counting my Blessings!

I have so much to share... so.. grab a coffee, margarita, soda, whatever and sit back. This one will be long! lol!

Let's start off with once again another BIG HUGE THANK YOU for all of your wonderful comments and prayers! I never get tired of telling you this. I read your wonderful comments to my husband and he says that he can see the smile as I read them and he says thank you to all of you as well. God has blessed me with such wonderful peaople that surround me in life.

My surgery (as you read in my quick update) went very well. No Cancer was found anymore.. and my doctor went as far as to call me and say that depending on what my results are (I'll know on the 12th), we might have to re-evaluate the Chemo treatments. I'm not sure if she meant no chemo at all OR if it would be less sessions. But she said that I looked impicable in there and that she was happy to give me this wonderful news. Recovering though has been hard. My insides still feel so bruised up as well as my small 5 incisions. But with news like that Nothing has gotten me down! Finally some hope. I can honestly say that this surgery was WAY more painful than the c-section. Like I mentioned earlier... my insides just felt beat to death.. it's a horrible horrible pain. But it needed to be done. Personally, I can't wait until the 12th! My family and friends (and all of you) have had me in prayers and the power of prayer is amazing. God has blessed me.

Well, this leads up to my next news. As you all know, I love my cricut. I only have the Bug and the gypsy and not a whole lot of carts, but I absolutely love it. I know some of you are against Provocraft and I respect everyone's opinion. I don't see anyone less or more if they don't agree with me. That's what I like about having friends. Our divirsity. Imagine if we were all the same??? Anyways, my amazing parents gave me a surprise of a lifetime yesterday! They ordered me the Martha Stewart Cricut Cake Machine with Cartridge! Yup! I will be receiving it sometime around the 16th! I couldn't believe it! I have been wanting the Cricut cake for a long time, but not just the red one.. I realllllllllllllyyyyyyy wanted the Martha Stewart version! And my parents got it for me! They say that they know my wrists are getting a little bit of arthritis (I'm still going through some tests to determine that) and that they also know that crafting and baking make me happy and that's why they got it for me!! I'm so blessed! Not just for the materials but for the amazing family God sent me. Family is everyone, aunts, uncles, cousins, not just brother and mom and dad. Everyone. I love them all. Here's a picture of what they got me:

It comes with the Martha Stewart All Occasions Cartridge! Exclusive to HSN's Martha Stewart version! Yay!

So can you imagine how excited I am to be receiving this in the mail? Speaking of "imagine," As You have also known, I have been wanting either an expression (or E2) for a long time. My ultimate wish was the Imagine, but God knows that My husband and I can't afford that... especially with all these medical bills that have been coming up. I sold some items today and got $60. I have been looking at the HSN website because I just am looking around at all the neat things they have. My parents got a 15% off coupon for purchasing the Cricut Cake and I have been eyeing the Imagine, but I wouldn't even try to ask for it. Although it was my ultimate dream. My husband is so amazing with our finances. He gives me whatever I want (as long as we have the money). I'm truly blessed to have such a supportive husband and I know I shouldn't pass that line. I don't want to take advantage of his love and generosity. Especially since we have such a beautiful home and things because of how well he manages our money.. even with his paycuts. So anyways, back to the Imagine... So I was helping a friend buy the imagine. She bought it on flexpay for 5 payments of $69 BUT she was able to use the 15% coupon and got the Imagine for only $299 and it came with 4 carts and the flexpayments went down to 5 of them for for only $59! Now that's a deal. Well, my husband told me, get it! I'm like WHAT?????? And he's like yeah. You have the first payment from the items you sold today, get it! I was in disbelief. He had kept saying we couldn't afford any cricuts right now, but out of no where he said GET IT! So guess what I did? I GOT IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YUP! I got the Cricut Cake (the one I wanted, Martha Stewart) and the Imagine in less than 24 hours!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm still in shock. I can't believe it. So I used the 15% coupon and got it! That one arrives the 21st! I'm so excited!?!?! What amazing blessings! God knows that we can't afford this and God knows how thankful I am to him everyday for sending me my amazing husband that always figures out a way to get me something that I want. But this time he blew my mind! Here's what I got:

And it came with the following Carts:
Yummy Cartridge

Imagine More

Kate's Kitchen Cartridge

Imagine More Cards Cartridge
