Pink Journey Birthday Card

Good evening everyone! How was everyone's Wednesday? I'm starting to get a sore throat and it seems like my toncils are acting up! Ah well! What can I do? Anyways, today I worked on a very special card. It's a card for my dear friends' son. He passed away in 2008 at the young age of 15 and a half. He was diagnosed with Synovial Sarcoma Cancer, a very rare cancer. It was a horrible year for my friends. I am not a parent, but the death of a child seems to be the most devasting thing on this earth. So ever since his passing, his parents have done whatever it takes to keep his spirit alive. They are an inspiration and wonderful people and love to receive any type of item that reminds them of their son, Andrew. Every year I send them a text on January 6th saying Happy Birthday Andrew! And every year they post on their facebook the same thing. This year, I plan to do something different I will be sending this card below just for him. I used the Pink Journey Cricut Cartridge to make the Sarcoma Cancer ribbon. Added a butterfly and some flowers and bling. I wanted it to be low key, but still be able to bring a smile to their face when they open it. I feel that I achieved it.

This card will be sent off tomorrow and arrive just in time for them to receive it. I pray every night, and during that prayer, I include them to bring them strength and faith. While I was dealing with my own cancer, they were very supportive. I felt a small connection with them, since they know and had expierenced first hand what Cancer is about. So I now have a small favor to ask you, next time you pray, plese pray for this wonderful couple. They are amazing people. Amazing parents. Amazing friends.

By the way, here's what the Pink Journey Cricut Cartridge contains:

Now, to share another card. The inspiration of the card above came from a card that I made last night. It's an early Valentine's Day card that I just absolutely LOVE how it came out. I didn't use any Cricut carts on this one... but essentially used the same template. Just here to share:

Hope you guys continue having a wonderful evening! God bless and see you here tomorrow!

Happy Scrapping!
