Christmas Eve Eve!

Well here it is... Christmas is upon us and once again, with a wink of an eye it will pass as quickly as it came. We, as a family, hit hard times this year, but I am thankful to God that he made us strong and faithful to deal with all of it. I am thankful for the strong faith I have in our Lord, that no matter what, he will always be there to guide us. I am also thankful that my friends and family are close to me. So just as a little Christmas wish, I wish you all a safe and joyous Christmas and that you all are blessed this coming year and beyond! I love you all and thank you for all the joy you have all brought to me.

Merry Christmas and Happy Birthday Jesus

Yesterday was my mom's birthday. And we were able to enjoy some time with her. I made her an Alice in Wonderland themed cake. The colors pink, purple and the stripes represent the cat and the big green bow represent the Mad Hatters hat. I loved the outcome and I know she loved it as well. The inside was yellow cake with coconut cream filling! Man, it was delish!! Here's the cake:

My Holiday Work Lunch

So Today is my Holiday Work Lunch! Really excited to spend sometime "out of work" even though it's still going to be at work, with my co-workers. I was busy busy making 24 cupcakes yesterday for my co-workers and I loved loved how they came out.. I raised the icing up so it can look like a semi christmas tree and then I put sprinkles and a yellow little wanna-be star on top. Here they are... I think I'm getting better and better, don't you think? Oh and I also filled them with cherry! DELISH!

Busy Holiday Season

Goodness, it's been absolutely crazy this season. I mean it's to expect it... but not as hectic like this. I haven't even sent out the winner for Vintage Grove Jewlery. I'll send an extra little gift to the winner because of the huge delay. It's been over a month and I'm slowly coming back.. even though these next 2 weeks are going to be the most hectic. I have scrapped though, and I wish I could get the pictures on here on this post, but I guess I can do that later. I have also done a lot of baking and more will be on it's way tonight. Company parties for my husband and I and Christmas/Holiday dinners with family and friends have kept me quite busy… but we have had a very happy holiday season so far. Here are some of the baking goodies I have made:

2 tier Thanksgiving cakes

Holiday Cupcakes for My Hubby's Work

Delish Forest Cake for our good friends Rick and Gurdge.

Poker Chip Cake for our great friend Julio on his Birthday

I hope everyone is doing great this holiday season. I really miss all my SB.COM friends, but it's been so hectic that there is no way to keep up on there and with all the baking and scrapping I have to do before the end of the year. I hope to be back to a normal "less" busy schedule soon, but for now, please keep checking back!

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

Cakes Galore!

Oh my goodness! I haven't been around 4 days short of a month! I'm so sorry! I can't believe how time flies when you are so busy! I've had a lot of work to do, at work and at home. And it still seems that I have millions more to do still. But I have been active with my baking! Unfortunately, not with my scrapbooking. It's very upsetting because I wish I had time to do everything I want to do. Maybe one day I guess.

I wanted to share a cake I made for Halloween. I thought this cake came out really cute.. although I had such a terrible time making it.. nothing was going my way the evening I made it. But here it is:

Then I also made some adorable Chocolate cupcakes for Halloween as well and they were filled with creamcheese. I liked the design and the taste of the cake, but the filling had a lot more work to do. But hey! I'm still practicing.

Eyeballs

Mummies

Then I finally was able to finish my last class for the last course of Cake Class! And I'm so very proud of the outcome on this one. Although the fondant that evening was being a brat with me! But all was good in the end.

And last but not least... last night I made a cake for our anniversary.. and I wanted to surprise my husband with one of his favorite phone games, Angry Birds. So I made this cake in 3 hours:

I'm having such a blast making these cakes.. I hope one day maybe I can become a professional! It's such a blast. Thanks for stopping by and I promise to not be a stranger on the blog and come blog more often! I hope you guys are having a wonderful Fall Season!

Out of all the flowers, my favorite was the rose! I loved it! I'm so excited to start baking! But first I really have to get caught up with all the stuff I already have going on in my life! Geez! Life is so hectic.. but thankfully no complaints as of yet!

Thanks to all you girls there that have been so patient with me! I wanted to share a couple of projects I have done lately! I finally finished my friend Amanda's Wedding Scrapbook! Here are some layouts that I made:

I also made this following card. I won't say who it is for until they receive, just in case they are reading this blog! But I absolutely loved how it came out!

And of course Khaminh and I already started our last and final Cake Course! We took the first class on the 5th! (which by the way was my hubby's bday) and we absolutely loved it! This time we are taking the class at Michael's which is very convenient and at the same time ENABLING! lol! So, Saturday aka Yesterday, I decided to make a cake for my uncle, my dad and my husband because they all have very close birthdays. We cut it today at my Grandma's house after a delicious bowl of Pozole! Yum!

This is the Fondant/Gum Paste bow I made for the cake.

Here's the cake after I stacked it and put in the Raspberry filling! Yummy!!!!

Here I already had iced it and covered it in blue fondant and then the final cake.

I absolutely loved the end result and so did my family! I was so very proud of myself. And the cake was good as well!

Last Weekend!

On Friday the 24th we left to S. Cal to my Mom-n-law's dad's funeral. It was such a sad event (as all funerals are) And I wanted to share some of the pictures that I took on the way there.

This is the picture of us reaching the Grapevine which is a little past Bakersfield (which is about 3 hours into our drive)
Here we are passing Six Flags Magic Mountain. I've actually never been there but I do hope to go there soon.

And you know that you are in S. Cal (L.A. area) when you start seeing freeway over freeway over freeway)
Here is L.A. from the distance (we actually go to Orange County, which is about an hour away)
Here we are passing the Disneyland entrance in Anaheim.

If you ever watch the WE Channel then you must of seen the show called Amazing Wedding Cakes! This is one of the shops in that show. It's the Christopher G. Cake Store!
Here's hubby taking a picture of the statue that is always shown on TV. Gosh if you have never seen the show you should.. they make extraoridnary cakes!

And of couse before we headed back home the next morning husband wanted to try the famous donuts that are on the Travel Channels top 10. Personally, they aren't the best! But we took a picture of the joint!

Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Scrapping Everyone!
