Last Weekend!

On Friday the 24th we left to S. Cal to my Mom-n-law's dad's funeral. It was such a sad event (as all funerals are) And I wanted to share some of the pictures that I took on the way there.

This is the picture of us reaching the Grapevine which is a little past Bakersfield (which is about 3 hours into our drive)
Here we are passing Six Flags Magic Mountain. I've actually never been there but I do hope to go there soon.

And you know that you are in S. Cal (L.A. area) when you start seeing freeway over freeway over freeway)
Here is L.A. from the distance (we actually go to Orange County, which is about an hour away)
Here we are passing the Disneyland entrance in Anaheim.

If you ever watch the WE Channel then you must of seen the show called Amazing Wedding Cakes! This is one of the shops in that show. It's the Christopher G. Cake Store!
Here's hubby taking a picture of the statue that is always shown on TV. Gosh if you have never seen the show you should.. they make extraoridnary cakes!

And of couse before we headed back home the next morning husband wanted to try the famous donuts that are on the Travel Channels top 10. Personally, they aren't the best! But we took a picture of the joint!

Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Scrapping Everyone!

Last weekend and week!

Last weekend was such a fun yet sad weekend. On Friday, the 17th, my mom in law's dad passed away. It was very heartbreaking seeing him, how he was suffering, and everyone knew that the sooner he passed the better, even though no one wanted to admit it. God gave me a very strong mother in law and am very proud of everything she did to her power to make sure her dad was comfortable. We are all so very sad to see him leave, but he is definitely in a very happier place with his parents and with Jesus. God bless him and our family.

On Friday, we also had our great friends' Tyler and Megan's wedding rehearsal. It was fun and I got to meet a lot of great people. The soon to be married couple, announced that they are PREGNANT! YAY! My husband and I (as everyone else) were surprised and full of joy of receiving this wonderful news. We cannot say how happy we are for them and how blessed they will be with their new little bundle of joy and their new lifes together as husband and wife.

Saturday, the 18th, was their wedding and we had such a wonderful time. It was very bittersweet. Bitter due to the mourning that we had but sweet to see such a wonderful couple rejoice in their vows and love for eachother. We send them our prayers and best wishes and that their marriage be full of happiness and love forever. Here are a couple of pictures from the wedding:

My Handsome Husband, Roger.

:o) Happiest Couple Ever!

The Newlyweds! ♥

Their super cute favors! Picture of them on M&M's!

Sunday the 19th rolled around and guess what?!?! It was my birthday!! Yes! I turned 26 years old. I want to thank all of you wonderful friends and family that wished me a happy birthday via facebook, text, or phone call. That meant so much to me! Thank you so very much! Tuesday the 21st, I received a wonderful gift from my co-workers. They got me my favorite 7lb chocolate cake and a costco giftcard because they know how much I've been wanting my sewing machine.

Thursday came around and we started getting ready to leave to S. Cal the next day for the funeral but I was able to get my sewing machine and sign up for my 3rd and final cake course! I'm sooooooooooo happy with my sewing machine. I had seen it on the Martha Stewart Show (one of my fav. shows) and I never thought of researching it. And when I saw it at Costco and realized that that machine was the one that Martha Stewart recommended and realized that the price might actually be reachable with my budget, I got really excited. I can't say that it fit my budget, but having the wonderful friends and family that I have, they all pretty much pitched in with money so I can get it. And once again, I can't say enough how much I've been blessed! Here's my sewing machine!

I also received one of the most important gifts of all. The motivation to start Zumba and Cycling classes. My wonderful co-worker will be my rock and support through this. We had been planning to start this for the past 3 weeks. But due to some issues that kept presenting themselves, we finally were able to sign up for in-shape on Thursday as well. I'm very excited. I will not be dieting excessively, and I have asked my husband and family members to not be monitoring what I eat, since it discourages me. I want this to become a life changing habit.. there for I start with extremely small steps until I get used to it. It will take me a long time but I have vowed to my husband and to myself more importantly that I can do this and that I will do this and with the help and support of God, my husband, my co-worker and friends and family, I know I will.

Well, that has been my past weekend and the week. Thanks for coming by and reading about my recently hectic life. I know that with these classes I have signed up for (Cake, Sewing, Zumba, Cycling) my life will not stop being hectic but it will be joyful, since I will be doing "Me" things. Thank you all for your support and for stopping by! Love you all!

Happy rest of the weekend and I hope to get to scrap!

I had such a wonderful birthday! Thank you to all of you for wishing me a happy birthday! That means a lot to me. My husband made my birthday really special. He always treats me like his queen, but man, he was totally buttering me up yesterday! I am not complaining! I loved it! And I love him so much.

But anyways on to the fun stuff ;o)

I am so very excited to announce that our Michael's here in Modesto is one of the few Michael's that will be carrying the brand new Making Memories Vintage Groove Jewlery Collection by Jill Schwartz! I just got my first batch and let me just say.. AWESOME!!!!  I cannot wait to start playing with these goodies! Wonderful Weekend!

I had such a great weekend. I ended up getting my awesome new KitchenAid Mixer as an early birthday gift!! I absolutely love it! It's exactly the perfect color for me and I love the non-gloss finish!
I finally was able to use it on Monday to do my royal icing! Khaminh was able to come use it as well for her icing! It's just a matter of time that her and I convince her honey to buy her one. Anyways, if that wasn't enough, right before we left to go get my Mixer on Saturday, my brand new PINK ATG GUN came in! I thought that was a lost cause! The eBay seller would never respond to my emails and it was too late to do a report due to a 45 elapsed period from the day of purchase! So it was definitely a wonderful surprise that the seller finally came through and sent it to me. Even though it was 3 weeks late!! So I ended up making it a little more FAB than what it already is and updated it's look with some patterened paper. I love how it came out.

And last but not least, yesterday was another cake class and we learned to make different types of flowers. I love learning how to make these flowers. I can't wait to do my final cake! I'm really excited to finish off this course to continue on with the last and final course. All I need to do now is get my sewing machine and I'll be all set for the sewing class that I want to start as well.

This Sunday is my birthday. I'm going to be 26! I'm scared of turning older... but I'm happy how my outlook in life is. Just enjoy everyday, and as long as you are happy, who cares how old you are or how old you aren't. (I just got to grasp that last part and realize that age is just a number :oP. ) Thanks for stopping by all!

Scrapped up a Storm!

Today, totally was a "first signs of fall day!" I love the fall and today was totally overcast cloudy and cold breeze. It felt like a storm was coming in. I got so excited. Fall is my favorite season! It's gorgeous to see the leaves falling the cloudy days that are perfect to cuddle with your mate and just enjoy yourself. So I decided to scrap up a storm today, in honor of the fall coming in! I scrapped a lot today. Very happy that I was able to scrap. I really want to finish up my besties album so I can give it to her and she and her husband can enjoy it. I'm coming very close to that end. Yay! More scrapping tomorrow, but I think I'll work on my Easter 2010 album. We'll see what I feel like doing tomorrow.

Happy Scrapping!

Scrapbook Expo in August

I finally was able to download pictures from my phone and camera to post how my scrapbook expo trip went with one of my besties, Khaminh! I had such a blast! I was able to meet two wonderful ladies, Nancy (homesclscrapper) and her really cool and funny friend. We all hung throughout the expo and had fun seeing how awesome of a spender Nancy is (so jealous I couldn't spend like her)! Must I say that that woman has some great scrapping taste. Here's a picture of us at the expo.

After the expo Khaminh and I went to go eat at a restaurant there in San Jose called, "The Fish Market." That place was absolutely delicious! Oh My Gosh! Seriously! Delish! Here are a couple of pictures of where we were at and the food. (Look at your own risk of drolling over the food! lol!)

Fried Calamari for the Appetizer

Fresh Catch of the Day: Salmon , Wild Rice and Mashed Potatoes for Me!

Delicious Seafood Cioppino for Khaminh!

Here we are waiting for our food. I think the old man was getting mad. :oP
